Unfinished — or site-finished — hardwood arrives as raw boards. We install them, then sand and finish the entire floor as one surface. The result has no micro-bevel between planks and no factory seams, so it reads as a single continuous plane and cleans like one too.
It is also the only route to a genuinely custom colour. Because the stain goes on after installation, you are not limited to whatever a factory happened to produce — and a repair years from now can be blended into the surrounding boards instead of patched over.
